Why International Teachers University chose the most rigorous path to accreditation to build a baggage-free, future-ready institution for global educators.
Education is evolving faster than ever, but many traditional institutions are weighed down by decades of legacy systems. International Teachers University (ITU) was built differently. As a new university based out of Washington, DC, we have zero legacy baggage. This allowed us to design our curriculum, methodologies, and student experiences purely for the future world.
We are an agile, forward-thinking institution. Our focus is entirely on student outcomes, equipping teachers with new-age methodologies, advanced technological integration, and adaptive pedagogical skills that traditional universities take years to adopt.
Agile Curriculum
Designed for immediate application in modern classrooms.
Future-Ready Methodologies
Integrating AI, adaptive learning, and modern pedagogy.
Zero Legacy Baggage
Built for tomorrow, not restricted by the bureaucracies of yesterday.
When ITU was founded, we made a crucial decision regarding quality assurance. We did not want a fast-tracked, easily obtained certification. We wanted our programs tested against the absolute highest standards in higher education.
That is why we actively engaged with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). The MSCHE accreditation process is notoriously rigorous, demanding, and takes years to complete. We view this comprehensive scrutiny as a profound strength. Engaging with MSCHE ensures that from our very first day, our operational standards, academic rigor, and student support systems are aligned with the best institutions in the United States.
Applicant Middle States Commission on Higher Education
International Teachers University is currently engaged in the process for determining its readiness for candidate for accreditation status with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). MSCHE is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE) to conduct accreditation and pre-accreditation (candidacy status) activities for institutions of higher education, including distance education, correspondence education programs, and direct assessment programs offered at those institutions. The Commission's geographic area of accrediting activities in throughout the United States. MSCHE accepts complaints and third-party comments for institutions engaged in the application and candidacy process. MSCHE provides an online form for the submission of complaints or third-party comments on the complaints page of its website. Please visit MSCHE's website at www.msche.org for more information.
