Admission Requirements

Hold a Bachelor's Degree

A fundamental requirement is a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution listed by the US Department of Education or a recognized international equivalent.

Minimum GPA of 2.6

A minimum GPA of 2.6 on a 4.0 scale is mandatory. If your degree is from outside the United States, a NACES-member evaluation will provide your equivalent GPA.

English Proficiency

If English wasn't the language of instruction at your undergraduate institution, we require evidence of English proficiency through standard exams, a transcript evaluation, or other accepted equivalencies.

Scholarships

At ITU, we understand the importance of continuous professional development for teachers. To support this commitment, we offer the School Nomination Grant for Advanced Studies, rewarding dedicated teachers with a pathway to M.Ed

Eligibility

Teachers can explore this scholarship opportunity by working with their schools. When a school partners with ITU, it opens doors for its teachers to receive scholarships, benefiting both the teachers' professional development and the school's educational quality.

Scholarship Amount

Successful applicants are eligible to receive grants ranging from $1,000 to $2,000 toward admission into the Master's in Education program.

Frequently Asked Questions

You can apply to International Teachers University at any time. We accept applications year-round and welcome new students every month in start groups we call cohorts. After you submit your online application, one of our admission counselors will review it with you and help ensure your file is complete, including all required documentation, such as an official transcript showing a bachelor’s degree, evidence of employment in education, proof of English language proficiency, photo identification, a criminal clearance record, and, if required, a short video interview. You’ll also attend a meeting where we answer your questions and outline any financial obligations. Once your file meets all requirements for full admission, we’ll notify you of your admission status by email and/or phone within 24 hours, along with instructions for completing your enrollment.
